Maria served as the country expert on corruption for the European Commission for a number of years and she has been awarded a number of prizes for her academic publications as well as community outreach.

While research in these domains is increasing\, numerous opportunities remain unexplored. Notably\, qualitative research focused on technology and ethics is somewhat limited. In this Special Interest Group (SIG) discussion\, we will deliberate optimal approaches for conducting research in these areas and identifying promising topics to investigate.
